Convenient access to prescribed medication

Sometimes medical advice is only part of what you need.

Where a HealthHero GP believes medication is clinically appropriate, they can issue a private prescription as part of your Virtual GP consultation.

There is no charge for issuing the prescription itself. As it is a private prescription, you will need to pay the pharmacy for the medication and any applicable delivery charges.

Collect or have it delivered

In the UK, prescriptions can normally be sent securely and electronically, allowing you to:

• collect your medication from most independent and major pharmacies using your prescription ID; or
• arrange for medication to be delivered to a nominated UK address.

Where delivery is selected, a range of delivery options may be available through HealthHero’s pharmacy partner.

Safe, clinically-led prescribing

Prescription medication is only issued where the consulting GP believes it is appropriate.

HealthHero’s GPs follow established remote-prescribing guidelines, take relevant medical history including current medication and allergies, and prescriptions are checked by a qualified pharmacist before medication is dispensed.

The service is designed for appropriate short-term prescribing rather than the ongoing provision of long-term repeat medication.

Prescription Services form part of RAM’s Virtual GP benefit, giving employees convenient access to medical advice and, where appropriate, prescribed treatment without having to begin the process again elsewhere.
